Junichiro Figures

April 8, 2026
It may come to surprise you that Junichiro is no stranger to figurines. Of course, none of these are things you can buy yourself as all of them are personal projects, but all of them have their own special story to tell. Let me run you through the trilogy of times where Junichiro broke into our realm.

Figure 1: The Painted One

Back in 2022 I had the inspiration to try and make a Roblox figurine out of Junichiro. Part of what inspired me was the fact that all of Junichiro's primary hats were already included on official Roblox figurines.

There were a few problems with my original approach though. Firstly, the Shutter Shades didn't funtion as an actual hat, and were instead baked into the faces of the figures that had them. Therefore, if I wanted to keep the shutter shades on, I'd have to paint around the faces that already had them, and I didn't trust my motor skills to be precise enough to handle that, so I scrapped the shutter shades from the first figure.

The second problem was that the only figure to have the Staff and the Top Hat was Mr. Bling Bling, who was only ever released as a Series 1 figure back in Early 2017, and there had never been a reprint of them, making the figure one of the harder ones to come by, especially ones with the code included (which wasn't required, but would have been a nice bonus.)

The figure was also going through a significant dry spell for listings online when I wanted to pull this off, so the only one I could settle for was one from America for the equivalent of 40 pounds. Had I been able to look into the future I would have told myself to wait a little bit as a local figure would show up for auction a few weeks later, which I would then end up sniping for 13 pounds.

After acquiring a figure with a blocky base (I went with the Rent-A-Cop figure for anyone curious) the last problem I had was how I was going to paint it all on. I wasn't experienced enough with painting to know any kinds of paints that would set themselves over plastic. Fortunately, my mother is a very talented painter who knew exactly the kind of paint I needed for the situation, and after walking me through the process of covering the figure with the right paints (and waiting a few days) the Mark 1 version of the Junichiro figurine was complete.

Even with the other two that ended up getting made in the future, I still have a big soft spot for this one. It's obviously nowhere near the quality of the models that proceeded it, but the small imperfections like the arms not being fully coated in the spots where it would be tucked under the torso and the blatantly visible fingerprint over where his face would be really sell the whole "D.I.Y" vibe I was trying to go for.

The only problem I had was that the hinges that connected the figure together started to wear down after a few months and now you have to be absurdly delicate when moving him around otherwise his head will come clean off.

Figure 2: The 3D Printed One

This figure is in a bit of an odd spot as not only did I not make it, but I don't even own it. Yep, Junichiro's miniature stature is in two different spots around the world.

It all started when I saw a post during my very brief return to Reddit in Early 2026. One of the subreddits I used to frequent was r/robloxavatars which is a whole subreddit dedicated to not only avatars, but fictional creations that stemmed from Roblox avatars just like Junichiro.

One of the coolest things about this Subreddit is how much user interaction there is. You'll quite frequently see people making posts about drawing other people's avatars, posing them for a scene in Roblox Studio or even making little games based around user interaction. Of course, these posts almost always get flooded with replies, so the odds of you being picked out of the draw if your avatar isn't striking enough is extremely low.

After scrolling for a while, I saw a user called "MomentOk6183" (which is probably the most Reddit-coated username I've ever seen) saying that they were going to pick an avatar from the replies of their post to 3D Print. They'd already done this a few months prior, but they were looking for more. Here are the pictures that were attached to the post.

The post had around 80 replies by the time I found it, so the odds of Junichiro getting picked were very low, but I decided to put him in anyway just to test my luck. As it turns out, fate was on my side that day as Moment ended up picking Junichiro out of the 47 other avatars on the post. And I had some steep competition as well, as there were some REALLY good ones in the replies. Here are some of my personal favourite replies from that post.

Also, props to the guy who just sent over a PolyToria avatar with no username. You got a laugh out of me.

After the printing was done, this was the end result.

There are a lot of things about this figure that I REALLY like. Firstly, I love the way he did the gold. I'm not sure what material he used for it, but it pops in a very subtle way by not necessarily looking flashy and instead looking more rough and defined.

Another thing I love is how he CLEARLY noticed the face that I was using. For those who don't know, Junichiro doesn't actually use the Default face. Instead, he's always used the "Daring" face, as that has a near identical facial structure to the Default face, but with a more aggressive smile and some sharper eyes. I thought it matched the vibe of the avatar way better than the Default face, and it seems that Moment payed very close attention to it as the face he drew on is definetly trying to resemble the Daring face instead of the Default one.

Lastly, I love how he was able to incorperate the bag on the figure while still keeping it stable. For something that was made by a 3D printer, that's a lot harder than it looks.

I can't really fault this figure for much. For being crafted by a 3D printer this is about as good as you can get it. He didn't include the Shutter Shades, but I can't really knock him for that considering that I couldn't get them to work for my original figure either.

Figure 3: The Official One

After seeing the 3D printed figure, it gave me the idea to get an official figurine for Junichiro made by a group who specialise in making custom figures. This was also a few days after Roblox announced that they were wiping Classic Faces from the platform, so I had an unspecified amount of time to actually get this done. At the time the only metric Roblox gave on the removal of Classic Faces was at some point in February, but the actual date they got wiped was March 26th. (Which ironically is Junichiro's canonical bithday.)

Still, with the potential for ANY passing day to be the last day with Junichiro's authentic face, that meant I had to make a decision on who would be making the figure soon, and I eventually landed on a team by the name of "Figure Factories". The team specifically specialised in making high quality figures of Roblox avatars, and they had been doing it since 2023.

Now, even though they were experienced with making Roblox avatars, what I was going to ask them for was going to be a lot more demanding due to how many specifications are needed to get Junichiro right. First of all, I asked if they could download the model before the Dynamic Face update occurred so that they could get the most authentic version of Junichiro to make a model from. Secondly, I noticed that they offered the choice between giving the figure a Matte finish and a Glossy finish, so I specifically requested that they make Junichiro's figure a split between both by giving his body a Matte finish and giving all of his accessories (minus the Shutter Shades and the Eyepatch) a glossy finish. Lastly, I wanted them to give the figure a specific pose that I thought would look striking in the form of a figure.

Much to my surprise, they agreed to all of these specifications with the only caveat being that the cost would be elevated a little bit. It only ended up costing 40 pounds though, so it was still quite cheap for what I was getting.

The figure would finally ship on April 8th, and I can comfortably say that the figure lived up to all of my requests and even outdid them by a little bit.

First of all, they not only nailed the pose I sent them, but they were so accurate in the positioning of the arms that they even made the corner of Junichiro's right arm faintly clip through his torso. It's small details like that which make the figure really feel authentic.

Secondly, this is the only figure out of the 3 that have been made in the past to include the shutter shades and the eyepatch. That can't have been easy considering the figure's small size, so I commend them for it. Although I'm more impressed at the fact that they still made his eyepatch faintly visible despite the fact that the shutter shades don't have any visible gaps. That takes some figurine wizardry to pull off.

Lastly, for the thing that impresses me the most about this figure, the way they incorperated the staff into the photo was genius. It was packaged as a separate part of the figure in it's own zip lock bag, and there was a small translucent circle just underneath the base of the staff. I inserted it into the figure and it attached to the figure so well that you could genuinely trick someone into thinking it was always on the figure in the first place. Not just that, but after it went in it absolutely REFUSED to come out. There's not even a locking mechanism inside the arm. It's genuinely just a translucent tab on the bottom of the staff that goes into a perfectly moulded circle on the base of his left arm. I couldn't have asked for something better than that.

Before I wrap this post up, I'd like to point out two things about the figure itself. Firstly, even though I do love the quality of the figure, I don't think I can actually recommened Figure Factories as a whole. The reason why is because after looking on their site while writing this page, I found out that the only person behind their newsletter uses an AI generated image for EVERY article, and something's fishy about the way he writes the articles too. I doubt he's actually part of the modeling process due to how accurate and high quality the figure is, but It's still enough for me to be hesitant about handing out a recommendation.

The other thing that I find immensely funny is that after the figure was shipped, Roblox announced a new change to their privacy policy where anyone making merchandise based off their properties not only NEEDED to have it run through them first but also HAD to be run through their AI age verification so Roblox can "make sure they're talking to the right person". In other words, Roblox are going down both the Nintendo and OfCom route at the same time. Assholes.

Now, the reasons I find this funny are not only because of how I would be excempt from this rule due to how I own the IP for Junichiro (Yep, Copyright Laws in the UK actually let me get away with that. Somehow.) but also because the figure was shipped out mere MINUTES before this policy change was made. It was literally the last figure to ship before Figure Factories were hit with this. I don't know if they're going to continue their operations, but just know that if they do, then they consented to giving their biometric data to Persona. I'd question how this is the world that we live in, but I'm so numb to this shit by now that it doesn't even phase me. I'm just lucky that I got the long end of the stick for once.

I love all three of these figures for different reasons, but the biggest one is how all of them have their own story to tell. One was made as a passion project with nothing but other figures and paint, one was a lucky draw from someone who was having a bit of fun with their 3D printer and one was carefully crafted over the span of two months under demanding specifications to create the perfect Junichiro figure. If this doesn't go to show how special of a character Junichiro is to me, I don't know what will.

Now that figures are out of the way, I wonder what the next bit of custom merchandise I could make for Junichiro should be...
