FUCK the Roblox community
December 9, 2025Yeah, i'm not just talking about the game itself anymore, i'm talking directly to the community that still actively play this game. You guys have just done something that i am NEVER going to forgive you for.
I've been hearing whispers about Roblox's new age gated chat update. It's currently in a testing phase and is only active in, of all places, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands. The idea is to not only lock chat behind Face ID (Which as you can tell by the lengths i've been taking to keep myself away from privacy intrusions like that i'm fucking livid about) but to also maek it impossible to talk to people outside of your age group.
Do they not know that a black market for Roblox accounts exist? Now people are just gonna use fake faces to trick the AI into letting them into specific chat groups. Or, in other words, MAKING THEM EASIER TO FIND.
That's not what i want to talk about though. I did mention that this post was about the Roblox community and not Roblox as an entity. Why is that? Because the geniuses in the Roblox community are blaming SCHLEP for this update.

To get into the MULTIPLE layers on why the community targeting Schlep is fucking vile, let me start by mentioning that before this, MILLIONS of people where championing Schlep due to not only what he was going through but also because he acted a bit like a beacon for people to truly see how screwed up Roblox are as a company. HOWEVER, the moment he may POTENTIALLY do something that makes the platform worse (Which, if that was the case, which it isn't, was entirely prompted from him doing the right thing), a large chunk of people TURN on him for "Ruining Roblox".
WHO'S FUCKING SIDE ARE YOU ON? Are you seriously going to IGNORE everything that Schlep has said about a game that you play because the game he was talking down was made ever so slightly worse? What kind of "Leave my multi billion dollar company alone" level bullshit is this?
Secondly, Schlep has been VERY outspoken in his distain for the update and how he hates it as much as everyone else does. And yet, the people who are rallying against him are choosing to IGNORE that. You know who else was ignoring everything that Schlep said to make him look worse? Matt Kaufman. TRY TO ARGUE THAT YOU AREN'T ACTING LIKE MATT KAUFMAN. YOU'LL LOSE.
And finally, people are ACTUALLY trying to get something going to speak AGAINST Schlep for something he played no part in by labeling this as "The Schlep Situation", which is the kind of thing you'd expect to hear from someone who's ACTUALLY done something bad, like a paedophile or a scammer. Are we really THAT fucking petty about Schlep speaking out about Roblox's inhumane practices? I'll say it again... WHO'S. SIDE. ARE. YOU. ON?
I've already dissasociated myself with Roblox as a game and it's community as much as possible, and it seems to me that i left at the perfect time. Everything that's happened ever since i left would have been absolute hell to try and endure if i was still actively playing the game. I already know you're going to bring up Junichiro, but even though he started on Roblox, he is NOT a Roblox character. I'll explain the details of that in a future website post.
I'd honestly take Nintendo's community over this.
All in all, FUCK Roblox, FUCK the Roblox community and... fuck i don't know how to end this.
