An idea for a game i had
January 9, 2026I write a lot of stuff, which is pretty obvious if you've looked at all of the pages on my website. However, i often find getting into a flow state where i focus on the webpage to be pretty tricky, and that leads to some long gaps between new posts, videos, and whatever else requires me to write stuff. That's not a problem that's exclusive to me, but it's one that i run into at a scarily frequent rate.
So while i was having one of my usual "Stare at a screen not writing anything" sesisons, i had this idea for a video game. I have no idea how to code it or if anyone else is going to take my idea and run with it, but hear me out for a moment.
What if there was a game that entirely revovled around writing stuff?
The game would be structed a bit like a digital wordpad that you can save onto your computer, but at the same time, the game would also encourage you for typing by playing special voicelines, animations, music or whatever else the person who made the screenpack felt like adding. And on the note of screenpacks, it would also be super easily moddable similar to something like the Steam Workshop or the mod repository that BeamNG has.
I'm not 100% sure how effective would be at making writing things easier, but in my head i can see it very easily cutting out the step of staring blankly at a screen trying to motivate yourself into writing something by making the process of writing stuff more fun. There is also a good chance that a game like this already exists, and if it does, PLEASE show me what it is.
